Uprise Fenix - Florida Heat 65-71


Very significant game was Uprise Fenix (#4, 1-2) loss against Florida Heat (2-1) 65-71. It was an exceptional evening for American player Becca Wann (178-G, college: Richmond) who led the winners with a hot hand by scoring 26 rebounds (!!!), 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Her fellow American Samantha Price (175-G-1990, college: St.Cloud St.) accounted for 15 points and 4 rebounds for the winning side. Uprise Fenix forward Jessica Fairweather (178-G/F-1989, college: Queens, NY) came up with a solid game by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds in the defeat.

Hidalgas de Santiago - Santiago Basket 71-62


The hosting Hidalgas de Santiago (3-0) escape with a win over Santiago Basket (0-3). The Dominican club looked looked sluggish after a great start; but managed with a 71-62 win Saturday night. The best player for the winners was America forward Toccara Ross (184-F-1986, college: Iowa St., agency: LBM Management) who had 25 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 blocks. Jennifer Pena (176-G/F-1993, college: Missouri S&T) continues her solid play. She chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals!! Marquisha Harris added 19 points and 15 rebounds in the win. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Porsche Poole (175-SG-1989, college: Michigan St.) who recorded 23 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds in a losing effort.

Flint Monarchs - Denver D 63-43

The final game of the Saturday night was Flint verses Denver. The Dynasty were defeated by Flint Monarchs (3-0) 63-43. The Monarchs dominated the game with very aggressive defense in the first half! They also outrebounded Denver 50-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a solid evening for Crystal Bradford (183-F-1993, college: CMU) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. American guard Jasmine McCall (170-G-1987, college: WSU) continues her great all around play at point guard with 3 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Asia Boyd (185-F-1992, college: Kansas) added 11 points also for the winners. The best for the losing side was American guard Calisha Clark (181-F/G-1984) by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in a losing effort.
