Atlanta Kings - La Calle 51-61

Very significant game was Atlanta Kings (0-1) loss against La Calle 6 (1-0) 51-61. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican player Edwin Espinal (200-F/G-1993) who led the winners with a hot hand by scoring 18 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 3 assists. His fellow Dominican Bryan Garcia (190-F) accounted for 20 points and 4 rebounds for the winning side. Atlanta Kings forward Stephen Moore (196-F-1994, college: Kansas City) came up with a solid game by scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds in the defeat.

GIE Cibao Immortals - BC Uprise RD 88-73

The hosting GIE Cibao Immortals (1-0) dominated start to finish in a win over BC Uprise RD (0-1). The Dominican club looked amazing with a 88-73 win Thursday night. The best player for the winners was Dominican guard Oliver Garcia (188-G-1996) who had 22 points (!!!), 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocks. Angel Rivas (198-SG-1993) continues to be a big time performer. He chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals!! Juan Valenzuela (191-SG-1997) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the win. At the other side the best for losing team was American post James Milton (204-F-1992, college: Stevenson) who recorded 13 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds in a losing effort.

Parque City - Sheffield Bulldogs 87-82

The final game of the Thursday night was Parque City verses Sheffield Bulldogs. The Sheffield Bulldogs were defeated by Parque City 87-82. The Parque City dominated the game with very aggressive defense in the first half! They also outrebounded Bulldogs 50-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a solid evening for Dominican post Miguel Almonte (200-PF-1991) with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Fellow Dominican Yerri Flores (188-PG-1996, college: High School) scored 17 points (!!!) and 4 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Martin Wilson (203-F-1993, college: WAU) by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a losing effort.
