United Cup Day 1: Jefry Aries impressive yet again!

BC Uprise - Belize 66-91

Very significant game was BC Uprise (0-1) loss against Belize (1-0) 66-81. It was an exceptional evening for American player Kadeim Jones (188-G-1999, college: UWG) who led the winners with a hot hand by scoring 21 points (!!!), 4 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American Majic Dorsey accounted for 13 points and 4 rebounds and a game high 10 assists for the winning side. BC Uprise center Dimon Carrigan (208-F/C, college: WVU) came up with a solid game by scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds in the defeat.

GIE Cibao Immortals - Atlanta BC 82-65

The hosting GIE Cibao Immortals (1-0) dominated start to finish in a win over Atlanta BC (0-1). The Dominican club looked amazing with a 82-65 win Thursday night. The best player for the winners was Dominican guard Milosevic Rivera (193-G-1996) who had 14 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Angel Rivas continues to be a big time performer. He chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals!! James Milton (203-F-1992, college: Stevenson) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the win. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Joshua White who recorded 18 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds in a losing effort.

Fenix - Costa Rica 104-78

The final game of the Thursday night was Fenix verses Costa RIca. The Costa Rica were defeated by Fenix 104-78. The Fenix dominated the game with very aggressive defense in the first half! They also outrebounded Costa Rica 50-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a solid evening for Dominican guard Jefry Arias (182-G-1997) with 20 points and 4 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Lance Perique (203-F-1983, college: Georgia St.) by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a losing effort.
