Santiago Basket Announce Guillermo Reyes as Head Coach

Today, Santiago Basket General Manager Travis McAvene named Guillermo Reyes as the team’s new head coach. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Reyes joins the Titanes from the Metros de Santiago (LNB), where he is currently in his sixth season as an assistant coach. He helped guide the team to back-to-back titles in 2019-20 and 2020-21. Prior to the Metros, Reyes held head coaching duties with the GUG (Santiago League). Reyes’ won the 2022 Santiago League Championship.  

"We are very excited to sign Reyes", said McAvene.  He is the coach we wanted to build this franchise around.  We are ready for the new challenge in the LDC League.  

In 2021 LatinBasket.com named Reyes to the LNB All-Star Game after leading the Metros to the best record in the LNB.
