MCC2019: Review of Final Day in Toulouse

MCC Final Day:

MSP RheinStars Bergishe Loewen - Flint Monarchs 76-71
MSP RheinStars Bergishe Lowen recorded final win in Group A to finish at 4-0. They beat Flint to stay at the head of voting for the 2019 championship. Sequoia Holmes (183-F/G-86, college: UNLV) exploded in the final day scoring 25 points and pulling down 8 rebounds. The German club jumped to a 23:19 lead after ten minutes. The Loewen unloaded 48 points in the next two periods to take a 6-point lead at the final intermission. Flint cut the distance in the fourth term but could not avoid the loss after a 10-2 run with 5 minutes remaining. Kristina King (180-G-92, college: Richmond) continued her balanced play with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory. Sparkle Taylor (178-G-95, college: UTEP) nailed 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for Flint.

Atlanta Ambassadors - Toulouse 82-70
The Atlanta Ambassadors jump out big on Toulouse on the final day. They pass the hosting TMB club 82-70 Sunday night. Carrie Washington (183-F/C-94, college: Columbus St.) impressed many scouts with an incredible stat line of 14 points and 20 rebounds. The Americans used a 32:11 run in the second term to take a 24-point halftime lead. Atlanta unloaded 46 points in the second half to march to the victory. Ashley Asouzu produced 15 points in the victory. Lucie Carlier  (187-F-90) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

The American club now moves to 3-1 in the tournament.

Sheffield Bulldogs - Toronto Basket 95-74

The English club of the Sheffield Bulldogs roll pass Toronto in the final day. The Bulldogs finish 1-3 in group A registered the first victory at the championship. Maddie Torresin registered 14 points in the victory. Kayla Gabor (180-G/F, college: Lake Erie) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The Bulldogs recorded a 40:22 halftime lead. They unloaded 37 points in the second half to cruise to the victory.
