ATHENS, Greece. -- MSP Rheinstars Bergische Loewen Bergische Loewen guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-PG-92, college: Richmond) will be named Germany Bundesliga Most Valuable Player for a second straight season, according to league sources.

Sources told Eurobasket.com that the widely anticipated honor for King was announced Thursday, she has become the first back to back MVP.

King has been an overwhelming favorite to repeat as league MVP since the MSP Bergische Loewen's record-setting streak this season, when they went 12-0 -- surpassing the previous record for best start to a season by nine wins -- en route to a 14-4 mark that eclipsed the best record in team history.

She is the first unanimously chosen MVP in league history; becoming the first player to lead the league in points and assists with a career standing of 33-9.

King swept the balloting thanks to a season as statistically dominant as any guard has ever assembled.

She's the first player in league history at any position to average 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists per game over the course of a full season.

King also shattered his single-season German Bundesliga record for most triple doubles with 7 -- her previous record was 2 last season --
