Holmes joins B.Loewen for 2019 Liga Mediterranean Cup

SG Bergishe Loewen (Germany) added to their roster 32-year old American forward Sequoia Holmes (183-70kg-86, college: UNLV). Holmes started the season at Canik Belediye in Turkish KBSL. In 17 games she recorded very impressive stats: 15.1ppg, 8.6rpg, 3.9apg and 1.9spg last season. 

 The previous (2018) summer Holmes played at the Aces in WNBA. 

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Holmes' team won African Champions Cup in 2014 and 2016. She was also voted Afrobasket.com All-African Champions Cup 1st Team back in 2016. 

Holmes also played in the DBBL Germany for Wasserburg. In 25 games she averaged a league best 8.6 rebounds and 17.2 points per game which ranked third. EuroBasket.com would later name her All-Germany DBBL Player of the Year. 

The 2019 Liga Mediterranean Cup will take place in Toulouse, France from May 30- June 3. 

Holmes is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in nine different countries. Holmes tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Africa and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in Finland (Aanekosken), Greece, Israel (Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv and Holon), Italy (C.U.S. Chieti), Slovakia (MBK Ruzomberok), Spain, WNBA (S.Antonio SS and Atlanta Dream), Angola (Inter-Clube) and Germany (Herner TC).

Holmes attended University of Nevada -Las Vegas until 2008 and it is her twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
