FEB UC2K26 España: Round 1 Best Performance — Jermaine Barnes
Jermaine Barnes had an outstanding evening in the opening round of the preseason FEB UC2K26 España, earning the Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for Round 1 in Mataró.
The veteran guard was the main contributor in Peak Basket's 95-65 victory over CBSN Girona (#4, 0-1), finishing with an impressive 26 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists in only 28 minutes.
Barnes shot an excellent 63.8 percent from the field while displaying his elite midrange skill set throughout the first half. After CBSN Girona began sending multiple defenders and double teams at him, Barnes adjusted and created opportunities for his teammates. He continued to rack up assists while working particularly well alongside co-star Stephen Moore, who finished with 24 points.
Barnes will need to continue playing at this level as Peak Basket moves into the next rounds of the tournament.
The second-best player of the opening round was American swingman Stephen Moore of Peak Basket. Moore had a very good evening with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, helping Peak Basket defeat CBSN Girona 95-65.
Peak Basket President Fadi Tabet praised the play of Moore and Barnes, particularly their ability to share the basketball and play together within the team's game plan. Moore is a newcomer to Peak Basket and displayed his Swiss Army knife ability on both ends of the floor. With each game, he continues to become a more reliable player for the club.
Third on the list of the round's top performers was Spanish forward Pol Pablo Jimenez of C.E. Sant Nicolau (#3). Jimenez recorded an impressive double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. He was a key contributor in LAU's 94-71 victory over Georgia Spartans. The young big man continues to make a name for himself during the FEB UC2K26 España.

The Player of the Week is selected based on an efficiency calculation while also taking into account the game result, importance of the game and whether a player recorded a double-double or triple-double.
The efficiency formula combines various formulas used by different basketball organizations and leagues. Basketball scouts and journalists were involved in the process to help ensure its accuracy.
Efficiency formula:
1.5PTS + 3(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2BSAG - 4PF + 3PFRV + 4(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5FTM - 3(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
