2021 Men's United Cup Dates Announced (July 22-25)

The United Cup Board of Directors have confirmed the event date (s) for the 2021 United Cup of Champions. The tournament will be held from July 22nd - July 25th, 2021 in La Vega, Dominican Republic, marking the first time the international cup will play in La Vega Top League. 

La Vega is one of the more competitive leagues on the island. Representing the local team (s) will be Parque Hostos and Enriquillo. The defending champion, Santiago Basket, will return for the third season. Their first order of business was resigning Head Coach Travis McAvene . 

"I am so excited just for the game of basketball", said McAvene. We are playing in a better basketball city with better clubs. This is what it is all about.'

The league will announce the other three clubs next month as they qualify for the tournament. Front runners for the final spots include Mexico (Cibacopa), El Salvador (Liga Superior), Turks & Caicos (Super League), USA (Universal Basketball Association), England (BBL) and Colombia (LPB). 

Qualification for the United Cup 2021 will take place from March 2021 to April 2021.
